For those of you who may not know Mac, he's a wonderful song writer who's written many, many classic hits, one of which was Elvis Presley's mega smash, "In the Ghetto", which is still one of the most played songs of all time.
One day, he and I were writing and I said to him...
"Mac, you ever keep re-writing a song after it's done?"
He said. "Do I? Hell, every time I hear 'In the Ghetto' on the radio, I scream, 'Why didn't I say THIS instead of ' THAT!!!"
That, ladies and gentlemen, is a real songwriter.
